Updates: CLAS Project, Pricing Update, Envato Elements, and Facebook

New Project: CLAS WordPress Theme Update

If you haven’t already noticed, there’s a newly completed project in the PM Digital Consulting portfolio.

This project was to update the new WordPress theme used for departments in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). The requirements from Media Services included a full audit to identify problems as well as fix known issues.

You can read more details on the project page: UF CLAS Theme Update project.

Pricing Updates

Since one of the most important questions is “How much does this cost?”, there’s a new Pricing page to help to answer this question.

The pricing model now includes tiers to better serve the different types of projects for entrepreneurs and small business owners. Plans are in the works for setting prices for specific services as well.

See the hourly consulting rates on the Pricing page.

Design Updates and Envato Elements

Every homepage is a work in progress. This site recently received some love with new customized graphics thanks to an Envato Elements subscription. While this doesn’t replace the need for custom design elements, it’s a good resource so far.

This plan offers unlimited use of downloads including audio, video, graphics, photos, and WordPress themes. Because of the licensing, this isn’t the same selection as the other popular Envato sites like ThemeForest and CodeCanyon.

(Reluctant) Launch of a Facebook Page

Like it or not, you can’t ignore the biggest platform on the web if you have a business. Although having a social media presence hasn’t been a priority so far, Facebook is al. It’s going to be interesting to explore the features added for businesses and web developers.
